I have been running my AC5400 for 4 years but a recent now my new property mean I have some dead spots.

Can I use the S4 to expand the AC's range or does it run separately?

Hi, It would run separately.

So except for Deco, you could have a look at the wireless range extenders or powerline adapters if the whole house is under the same electric circuit.
