Power light on, flashes for a few seconds then all lights off

Power light on, flashes for a few seconds then all lights off
Power light on, flashes for a few seconds then all lights off (no function).
New router, after connecting the LAN internet and trying to configure, after the reboot prompted now the power light comes on when switched on, flashes for a few seconds and then all LEDs dark.
Unable to reset using reset button on powering up (WPS button lights up briefly but then power light flashes and all LEDs off as above)..
