Thank you for providing the case details, the WiFi settings look fine and pretty usual.

- I suggest contacting adapter manufacture to update the driver for the wireless adapter

- You may try to create a Guest WiFi on powerline units with no password,  open network for Asus adapter and see if could connect to it.

May I know what error message occurs if Ausus will not connect to Wi-Fi of powerline, could it connect to Wi-Fi of router?

Thank you for providing mode case details, you could try to adjust some settings here and see if it helps: 

TL- WPA7617:

Try a different channel

Try different channel width

Mode: set to 802.11b/g/n mixed

Wi-Fi Adapter:

Adapter Properties section, enabled 802.11n Mode  (Here is a guide found online for reference: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00031239)

You may also adjust other 80.211n related settings on adapter properties

• Try to manually connect PLC Wi-Fi signal by manually put in SSID and Wi-Fi password. 

If the above does not work, I suggest confirming with ASUS support and see if they have other driver for your adapter, sometimes they have public or chipset driver to try.
