Hello, can I have the model number of the TP-Link device? Do you want to disable the wireless network of the router manually via the Tether app when you are home or when you are outside? You can check if there are WLAN settings on the Tether app when login to the router, and if there is a WLAN on/off switch on the page.

BTW, is there a reason why do you need to disable the wireless network manually? The Wireless Schedule would be a convenient feature other than that, you can set a schedule to disable and enable the wireless network.
