Moto G60s (Android 11) only works fine without password on M4 / E4 mesh
Hi, I bought a Moto g60s (Android 11) but it has intermittent disconnections and does not roaming properly (other devices are running smoothly). Test with guest network without password and it works fine.

@Javo5 Did you try disabling fast roaming & enabling beamforming?

Hi, did you still have the same issue on Moto G60s?
there are more suggestions for your reference:
1. turn off the Mesh technology on the Deco APP for Moto G60s.
2. please also turn off the private/random MAC address on the smartphone to have a look.

@Javo5 Bought a Moto G60s for the wife at christmas. Having the same problem with the phone disconnecting and immediately reconnecting to my M5 mesh system. Both my (and my wifes previous) Moto G7 phones work perfectly on the Deco M5.
Have turned off the random Mac adress on the phone and set up a searate Guest network, which keeps the phone stable for a few hours, but then problem returns whereby the phone doesnt connect to the nearest mesh disc.
Thought it was due to the phone trying to pick up the strongest signal between the 2.4 and 5 GHz, so switched off the 5 GHz band but fault still returns.
The only other difference I can see between my Moto G7 and the G60s is that the G60s security is set to WPA/WPA2/WPA3-Personal, whereas my Moto G7 is WPA-Personal.
My Deco is set to WPA2-PSK [AES]. no idea whether this is related or not.
At this point I have dont know whether the problem is with the mesh system, or the phone trying to be too advanced.

Hi, I don’t it is related to the security mode of Deco M5 and G60s.
And I hope you could help me check the following information is possible:
1. If there is a different wireless network available for test, will G60s have the same issue?
2. Could you please provide some details about the disconnection on the G60s, such as it is still connected to the Wi-Fi but no internet service or the Wi-Fi has been disconnected already and It keeps cycling and trying to connect?
And would there be any error message during the disconnection?
3. What did you do to restore the wireless connection on the smartphone, like turning on/off the Wi-Fi?
(please leave me a private message for notification in case I did not see the reply in time.)
Thank you very much.

Tried the G60s on mother-in-laws BT WiFi, worked perfectly without any issue. BT WiFi is just the OEM dual band router.
Been trying a few things with my Mesh:-
Fault is more evident when both bands are in service. Phone selects strongest band, but then drops that band and switches to the other, but then a few second later switches back again to the first band. Each time it switches it loses WiFi for a very brief period. Most noticeable when watching video. Does this numerous times before becoming stable again. Once stable it works ok.
It will remain stable until phone moves to a different part of the house. The seamless transition from one dish to the nearest one does not appear to take place. Phone can be within 2m of a dish but remains linked to a dish two rooms away. Stays like this for some time (not managed to time how long) Eventually it will change dishes but that's when it becomes unstable again.
The transition between dishes seams to be what's causing the instability, noticed the problem also happens when the 5GH band is switched off and the G60s is connected to the Guest SSID
The disconnect/reconnect cycle is very quick, unless you are watching the screen the only way you know it has happened, is that a message flashes up on the screen to say WiFi connection has been restored.
