Did you do a speedtest on the deco app on your phone? If you did, what was the speed there?

 

I'm assuming you enabled ipv6 also from the deco app.

Yes, both IPV4 and IPV6 are enabled, BUT, my computer is showing "no internet access" from ipv6. I'm not sure if it's related to DNS configuration or not.

 

Also, in the deco app, set QoS to 1000mbps

From my provider, 1000/200. I figured that up arrow is upload and down arrow is download.

 

The wifi signal is "strong" on the entire house. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong, this can't be it.

There is 800-900 m/s download, 200m/s upload from main Deco via Ethernet connection, right?

Correct, if I connect directly on the main deco via ethernet (5e), It gives me pretty much full speed.

 

So 240m/s over Ethernet cable, 150-200m/s over Wi-Fi are tested from one of the satellite Deco M4?

I tested again and I'm getting different speeds from B and C. 

 

C > Laptop over Wifi = 150~180Mbps

C > Laptp over Ethernet = 200Mbps

 

B > Laptop over Wifi = 220~250Mbps

B > Laptp over Ethernet = 240~260Mbps

 

A > Laptop over Wifi = 260Mbps

A > Laptp over Ethernet =260Mbps

 

The connection between A and the laptop is the one that is bugging me now, how can it be so low if its directly connected? I'm pretty sure I did something wrong, I just don't know what.

 

R: ISP Router

A: Main Deco

B: Hall Deco

C: Office Deco

Blue Line: 9~10mts.

Orange Line: 5mts.

 

There's a walls and microwave/fridge between A and B, but it's a straight open line between B and C.

 

And I was thinking about moving the B one room closer to the main router. I could either get a cables from A to B then B to C.

There seemed to be a huge difference in speed from the main Deco. Or was the speed 800/900 down with 200 up is only referred to ISP modem?

Not sure, I was tweaking on ISP router configurations and stuff, I'm not sure if I did something there that somehow did that, tonight I'm going to reset everything and start over.

 

Considering the distance and barriers between main Deco A and Deco B, it would be suggested to use an Ethernet cable wire Deco A and B together.

That's what I'm thinking, but... If I need a cable all the way there I might as well just to the extra 5m and set a cable directly on my computer. I don't know.

I also need to turn off both 2.4/5.0 Wifi from the ISP router and let the deco be the only source of Wifi for the house, this might interfere as well. I'm giving a shot, if that doesn't work, I'll just return and use the ethernet with a simple repeater for mobile devices. The only device I'm concerned on getting full speed is the main computer, all mobile devices, tvs and stuff like that can work just fine with whatever speed they get.
