Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20201228

Greetings all,

I have what I call a blended network of P9s and S4s operating in AP mode.  In the last month the S4s keep hanging up (red eyes) several times a week.  The only way they reinsert themselves into the system is by unplugging them and plugging them back in.  The S4s are are running 1.5.0 Build 20210607.  I find hundreds of the above messages each day.  Due to the construction of my home the P9s all sit on one side of the house and share the same breaker or breaker box with no issues.  The S4s are 15ft away from a P9 so as to pick up the signal and bring it to a different side of the house (on a different breaker box with AFCI breakers--not good for powerline applications).  I have had the the mesh since June and it worked fine at first.

The S4s have good line of site to the P9s.  Any ideas.

Other useful data

The P9 in the basement next to the MOCA/router (all in one) and is noted as the main Deco

There is a metal beam in the house

Greetings All,

I just updated the S4 firmware.

The errors are still there but the system has greatly stabilized.  The S4s have stopped hanging up on the system.  The port errors continue and CPU is still 100% but no performance impact is seen.  Speeds are good and all "appliances" are working with the mesh.  This suggests the errors are with the P9 but is a different port than previously posted (e.g. 24).  Now that things are stable, I can wait to address this port issue.  The family is happy again.  To TP-LINK, please don't break things again with a new firmware update.
