using hotel wifi (no wired connection, only wifi)

Tether app has connected me to the tp link - message says "no internet connection" - great diagnosis, I know this!!

the whole idea is to get onto the internet and make a hotspot to use my Google Chromecast with my Google Chromebook in this hotel.

your video's say go to tplinkwifi.net - refused to connect

I'm a layman not a computer expert - please explain in simple English step by step that is easy to understand and not a list of DNS numbers

Sometimes http://tplinkwifi.net domain is not accessible.

Try accessing the router through its default LAN IP address http://192.168.0.1 when connected to the router by wi-fi or ethernet cable.

Here's how to setup a hotspot with WR802N.

Here's a video on configuring WR902AC in different modes as a reference - WR802N has the same operation modes.
