Xbox 360 can not connect when 2 x20 on
Hi there just got the deco x20 twin pack and it's good for the phones and laptops.
Now the problem is with my boys Xbox 360
It is saying there is multiple points with the same name and it won't work. If I unplugge the 2nd x20 it will work fine.
This defeats the purpose off wall to wall WiFi mesh. Can aome one help thanks

Hi, I do not quite understand that” It is saying there are multiple points with the same name and it won't work”, is it the error message on the Xbox when it did not work?
Except for the X20, I suppose you have one more router?
Will it work when it is wired to one of the X20?
It would be highly appreciated that you could provide more details about what happened on Xbox.
Thank you very much.

Hi thanks for the reply.
So what's is going on.
I have fiber coming in to the house to a modem behind the TV. This is then connect to the master x20 ( living room ).
I have a 2nd x20 in my gaming room ( gaming room)
Now all my phone's and laptops connect to the strongest x20 and the mesh is working fine.
Now my boy has a Xbox 360 in his room, when we find the wifi network when I select it it comes up with duplicate network and tells me to rename one off the points.
I can put in the password but it will not connect to the x20.
If I unplugge the 2nd x20 (gaming room ) so it's just the master ( living room ) it will start to work
By doing this it is making the 2nd x20 pointless.
I did try and talk to Vodafone about it but they just tould me what I know how to set it up. ( This happens on the app when setting up)
There solution was to send me a 3rd x20 , I tould them not too as I don't think it will make a difference as then I will have 3.
So it's only the Xbox 360 and other people must have had this problem???
Can I manually set up the Xbox some how to connect to the 2nd x20 by using the numbers
Thanks :-)

Ok I had a chat with someone on the chat room and still not working.
We have tried
Changing the ssid to a new name
Turning off fast roaming
Turning off the beamforming
Changed the password to a different encryption
Rest the deco x20 modem and Xbox
Forgotten the network on Xbox and re found but still saying duplicate networks
Soon as I unplugge the 2nd x20 and re load the Xbox it's ok.
Also if I reset the mesh with both turning back on the 1st time the Xbox will work.
We can not turn it off each time my boy wants to go on his Xbox .
Is there away to just add the numbers for the IP gateway .....ECT

>Their [Vodafone] solution was to send me a 3rd x20 , I told them not to as I don't think it will make a difference as then I will have 3.
In your situation, if they offer 3rd x20 for free, I suggest you accept that offer.
Place 3rd X20 side by side with Xbox 360, connect them by Ethernet cable and configure Xbox 360 use Ethernet connection.
This is workaround, but if nothing else works - that will.
