Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have a question.

On my cellphone I have set an hotspot using tethering and I connected my tplink to it.

Android do not allow the change of the IP address so in this case my tplink has assigned the IP 192.168.212.111

Then I connected a tplink switch to the tplink extender and I connected 4 devices to the tplink switch.

All my devices now have an IP with the class 192.168.212.x

What I need is to be able to assign a different class to all the devices connected with the LAN cable to the extender.

So, for example, I would like my devices to have the class 192.168.80.x

Is it possible to do that? If so, how?

thank you

The RE will give IP addresses within the same subnet to devices connected after.

If you need a different subnet for them, you'll need a wireless router instead for that purpose.

@terziyski thank you.

But I need a router after the extender right? the router cannot get the signal from the wifi, correct?

That's correct. In fact you need a router in place of the switch.
