Hello Guys!

I am looking forward to solve an issue with my DECO.

I have 2 Deco on a Mesh system.

My ISP provides me 500mb of speed. I can reach this speed when I connect my lapto to ISP`s modem. But when I use the same RJ45 cable and connect to the main DECO I just can reach 50% of the Internet speed.

I tried to talk with TP-Link support team but they couldn't solve the problem.

I made all the tests like swapping the decos and speedtest via cable. Eather via RJ45 and Wireless the Internet speed is locked in 50%.

Using a Macbook Air, holding option key and clicking on wireless network I am able to see the TX RATE and it is on 800 Mbps

Is anyone having this same issue? How to solve it withouth the need of sending for replacement?

@RafaelCarvalho

You did not say if you run Deco mesh in Router mode or in Access Point mode.

If you run it in Router mode, check if this FAQ has the solution: Using QoS feature of Deco

If it does not, and you are out of ideas, change Deco Operating Mode to Access Point. That can only work if you have ISP modem/router (not just modem), but if you do - that'll eliminate all possible configuration settings in Deco that might throttle traffic. In Access Point mode Deco does not do any content filtering and traffic management.

If in Access Point mode the problem continues to exist, and you are confident Ethernet cable between Deco and ISP modem is good, all you can do is request Deco hardware replacement. If problem is gone, that means it were somewhere in Deco Router mode settings and could be eliminated when you find which setting is responsible for it.

This is where Operating Mode setting is:

@Alexandre. Hello Alexandre!

I run it on router mode and QoS had already been set and nothing has change on the devices speedtest

@RafaelCarvalho

Try Access Point mode and if problem does not go away, it might be hardware issue.
