Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.6

Hello TP Link community

I have a problem with my TPLink Archer C6 router that drives me nuts.

In my house I have 2 TPLink routers, Archer C6 which is configured as router and TL-WR841N with is configured only as access point and is connected via cable to Archer C6.

My problem is with my Archer C6 WIFI which works poorly and has speeds slower than the TL-WR841N.

What is the behavior?

When switching from TL-WR841N WIFI to Archer C6 WIFI, there is no internet on this WIFI. I have to constantly turn off - turn on WIFI on my devices several times until de internet starts to work but with a slower speed.

Another problem is the fact that the speed on this WIFi is slower than the TL-WR841N.

What have I tried?

I have scanned the wifis around my area and switched channels in order to find a channel which is not that populated. Nothing changed

Stop the 5GHZ WIFI and tried only the 2.5 GHZ and nothing changed.

Changed the mode from b/g/n to g/n and nothing.

Any other suggestions?

It could be a faulty device?

Thanks

Go through this thread and select the appropriate FW release for your device to upgrade to.

I presume you're with the EU region FW - choose the beta release.

Disable OneMesh feature if you're not using it.

For 2.4 GHz network select 802.11-n only (I assume you don't have devices using b/g standard).

Then test if that will improve things for you.
