They never replied and now i see there has been a firmware update for the WPA7517 that introduces OneMesh. The icon has changed in the Tether app now, but when trying to login, it always reports that the password is incorrect, even though it is correct. I have reset the WPA7517 multiple times as instructed on the password screen, and it is still the same.

@Degsy Hello, it seems they replied to you via your registered email on Dec 2, 2021, but it seems there is no response from you. Please reply to the email then you should be able to get in touch with the support engineers again. Thanks.

@Kevin_Z thank you. Any idea about the password issue? Can log on to the wpa 7517 via web browser ok, but via tether always shows wrong password, even when the password was actually set using the tether app!

@Degsy As far as I can confirm, the Powerline adapters or extenders are not compatible with the Tether app, so you cannot manage the powerline device via the Tether app, and that's why you cannot login to manage it.

However, this is still abnormal that you can find and see the powerline adapter on the Tether app, it seems the Tether app receives the TDP packages and responds to them. I cannot assure you now if this can be easily addressed or fixed by the powerline firmware update or Tether app update, I will suggest you manage the powerline adapter via tpPLC utility instead.

ok thanks, can you feed this back as its very frustrating to have a system that shows you the extender, allows you to set a password but then refuses to log in and eventually locks you out!

No response or help as per usual from TP Link. Its almost like @Kevin_Z doesnt actually know what the developers of the TP Link hardware are actually doing and vice versa.

So even though this is a bug it is not being addressed? It is being left? And according to your email you want me to log it as a new feature request?! How about just fix the bug I notified you about nearly 6 months ago. Thanks

Just updated the WPA 7517 with new firmware that was released back in April (love that we have to manually check), and it now works in the Tether app. This confirms to me that @Kevin_Z doesnt actually know what the devs are doing or working on.
