Router: Archer AX90(AX6600)

Repeaters: RE315, RE305, RE205

Country: Romania

My scenario is that i want to have OneMesh after I'll connect(via ethernet) either the RE305 to AX90 or RE305 to RE205.

I've already posted in the thread with my opinion. Ethernet Backhaul should have been a mandatory feature on launch day for the repeaters, not something thank was hidden by marketing language and then discussed in a forum as "optional feature"!

@RyanDias I see where TP-Link has announced the Deco X50 Outdoor.

It looks like it does everything except that is not compatible with OneMesh.

The X50 outdoor checks most of the boxes:

Outdoor rated ✅

POE (power over ethernet)✅

Backhaul wired or wireless✅

AX wifi 6 (6e would be better but ok for now)✅

5400 mbs(6600 would be better but 5400 is good for most everyone's needs)✅

But this still leaves us OneMesh equipment users behind.

Looks like maybe upgrading the Deco line again but not OneMesh.

The Deco's have always had the Ethernet backhaul - with a twist - you HAVE to use a TP-Link switch to connect the Decos and the Decos are on a different Subnet than your router - meaning you cannot do NAT or Port Forwarding to devices connected on your WiFI network...

Add OneMesh Ethernet Backhaul to RE505 range extenders. And allow the new AXE75 ARcher, connect to extenders using ethernet backhaul in OneMesh. This will stop the tempation to reflash with aftermarket firmware, or choos the ASUS ecosystem, which uses AI mesh ethernet backhaul

Please DO share information about "aftermarket" firmware? I think it should be obvious that TPLink is not going to care about this, I already have 4 RE505's purchased that are just lying here - if they brick due to firmware, it's still worth trying since I cannot use them currently at all.
