Range Extenders Support OneMesh/EasyMesh in AP Mode
Hey everyone!
We got some feedback from our community users requesting for Range Extender to support OneMesh/EasyMesh when works as an Access Point.
Currently, OneMesh/EasyMesh is not supported when the extender is set to Access Point Mode. However it is planned to support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul under Range Extender mode.
It will start with RE315_V1 and gradually be added to other EasyMesh-supported extenders.
RE315 Supports EasyMesh Over Ethernet Backhaul
Note:
1. An extender needs to support EasyMesh (over Wi-Fi) first, then supports EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.
2. Ethernet Backhaul only works when both your main router and satellite extender support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.
Other Mesh Options:
Option 1: Deco mesh system supports Ethernet backhaul under both Wireless Router and Access Point modes.

I have a TP-Link TP-link Archer AX-55 and an RE505X, and have ethernet already to the location that I want to connect it to. OneMesh with ethernet backhaul would be wonderful.

Please provide an updated on this. Many people have asked and have been ignored. Is this feature still under consideration after a year?

I also have an Archer AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router (US) in combination with a RE605X range extender -- which is installed at the opposite end of my house as AP.
I was greatly disappointed to find that wired backhaul is not available in OneMesh mode. This simple fact is completely ignored in the TP-Link user documentation, which only tells you how to configure the extender in AP mode -- but not that it will no longer work as a OneMesh node. This is just plain deceitful.
Please implement this feature as soon as possible; it's omission is a huge black mark on the OneMesh product line.

Currently running:
Extenders: 7x RE220(US)_V2_201022
Main Router: Archer AX55(US)_V1.6_1.1.1 Build 20220621
Support for OneMesh Ethernet Backhaul on Range Extender is very much needed. Thought One Mesh would be the best solution since I could expand with hardware I know that works, but my concrete walls seem to be ready stand a nuclear fallout and signal goes down pretty quick. FYI, I only did 1 double link and kept all the remaining extenders on a single link with the main router. As of now my setup consist of 1xRE220 in AP mode on channel 6 with an extender connected to it, a second RE220 running in AP mode on channel 11 and the rest of the devices are on the mesh.

As @Solla-topee is not responding and you were also working on an other thread regarding this topic, can you give us all an update?
The "OneMesh Supports Ethernet Backhaul" is already "under consideration with the developers" for may more then a year!
Thank you.

Quickly just adding my +1 for this.
Either via EASYWIFi or OneMesh but it's needed.
I am holding off buying more equipment because I need to know if this is going to happen or must I jump to
a different equipment provider that does give me this functionality.
Currently have:
AX6000 V1
2 x RE505X.
OneMesh not working because the one RE505X I cannot get close enough to the AX6000 to create
a stable mesh but I do have a network cable there so have been using it in AP mode.
