I have a RE505X (US) V1 which I'd love to pair with my AX6000 using backhaul, in fact that's why I bought it thinking I would be able to and I've waiting for more than a year for this.

Please make it happen.

@Solla-topee Do you have any ETA (or yes/no) on this feature? To be honest, considering the fact, that the team is aware about this strong wish from the customers at least from April, and we still have literally 0 feedback about it, except for the fact, that the team knows about it, I don't have high hopes and slowly starting to browse different sites in search for good offer on ASUS routers, which are known to support both wireless and wired backhaul, as well as possibility to connect multiple routers in a mesh.

Do you have an update for us, your customers, on this request as this is with the development team since April?

Just an FYI, you can remove me from the list of feature requestors, as I got 2 ASUS TUF-AX5400 routers, which work perfectly together using ethernet backhaul. Yes, they are more expensive than AX20+RE505X, but they are AX5400-class and they are still cheaper than a pair of Decos, also now I a can connect my HDD to one of them and ditch my LTE router to be replaced by an old Android phone working in USB tethering mode.

Good bye, I am now free of TP-Link networking products, just need to find buyers for the AX20+RE505X combo, which works quite fine, if you don't have reinforced concrete as floor separator.

@Solla-topee Hello, I'd love so much to have LAN backhaul for OneMesh (like Deco devices can offer) :

My config :

- one Archer AX10(EU) v1

- two extenders RE505X(EU) V1

- several TP-Link switches (TL-SG105E, TL-SG108E)

Notice I have replaced my 2 previous TP-Link AP TL-WA1201 with these wi-fi 6 router + extenders in a mesh, but at the end, I have much lower wi-fi speeds due to this missing LAN backhaul.

My two extenders are plugged next to 1 Gbps ethernet switches, so they can easily be used as AP.

I trust TP-Link to bring this requested feature

This is definitely a must! I can't believe it doesn't already exist... I have my office in an outbuilding with an ethernet cable between the main house and the office. I am just outside the range of my main router (AX20) so I can't use my RE505X as an extender.

I'd be happy to buy a new onemesh device with such capabilities.

Replaced all coax TV cables by Ethernet just to be able to use a proper wired backhaul.

Just bought AX* routers: which I assumed had Onemesh support: EX221 provided by Telco, AX50... no onemesh on either. Finally AX73 has it... only to find out once everything is plugged that Onemesh does not support Ethernet. I was involved setting up a Meraki mesh back in 2014 with 23 APs and of course Ethernet backhaul was supported and pretty much required for stability at scale.

Customers with an Ethernet backhaul may not be the majority but we are the ones that neighbors, friends and family come to when it is time to choose a vendor.

At the moment I cannot recommend TP Link.
