Can I USE Archer A6 ac1200 WITHOUT A MODEM? or do i need one modem

It depends on the Internet service that your ISP provides.

If it's a broadband service then you'll need a ADSL/VDSL modem before the A6.

If it's a cellular service then you'll need a 3G/4G modem before the A6.

In general, if your ISP provides a device with the service, then you can use the A6 connecting it to the ISP device.

If your ISP does not provide a device, usually you can use A6 directly connected.

Here's the WAN port types:
