Firmware Version : 3.0.0 Build 120524 Rel.05221

ISP : TMNet Streamyx

Just bought a new sealed modem. Went to the firmware page and it is showing

ERROR: FAIL TO UPDATE DUE TO... ERROR: FAIL TO UPDATE DUE TO...

Can't even upload a firmware. It shows http://192.168.1.1/rpFWUpload.html for the firmware page.

Can you help me please. Maybe the link in this firmware is wrong, can you point me maybe to the right url so I can upload a new firmware.

it seems that there is only one firmware available on the tplink official website for TD-W8961ND V3.

I have the same problem. Seems like the firmware page is not available while connected to the router using WiFi. Connect a cable and access the router for the firmware page to show correctly.
