Model : TL-WN951N

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

ISP :

Good night (Venezuela),

As you can read, I have a serious problem because when I want to see some video, play some video games, everything on my desktop pc and my internet is disconnected, just like that.

Source of the problem: Everything had been fine, had a connection with no cuts or anything, could watch videos without problems until I fall playing a game online for hours, and I begin to notice the change. I suddenly out of the game and I started off the Wi Fi just like that. Now when I stop doing the activity then starts working normally, all provided you do not make my graphics card work.

I formatted my PC 2 times after having this problem, until I realized that before installing the video drivers, nothing happens. The problem always occurs after q video drivers are installed and I have placed different versions, both the graphics card to network card, without noticing any change. What Hardware problem may be?

One interesting fact: every passing day it showed a deterioration in my internet.

Here are the names of any of my Windows 7 PC components:

• Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 2.00 GHz

• Power Supply: Cooler Master Extreme 2, 525 Watts

• PCI Network Card: TP-LINK TL-WN951N

• Video Card: AMD XFX R7870 Black Edition

Please I need help from one of you, unfortunately this pc is also used by family and I have to answer for her ... If you need more information now get her and I will make them know.

Thanks in advance

What are the video games ?
Is the driver of the TL-WN951N the latest one ?
Is there any anti-virus software on your computer ?
Bandwidth control in your router may improve the situation.
Only my own thought...

video problems with TLWN951N
2013-09-09 15:06:14
I also had this problem. My computer system is the same as yours - Intel core 2, Windows 7, 2GB ram. When I installed the TL-WN951N I was getting constant problems running my video files. I took my whole system to the computer shop where I had purchased the video card and demonstrated what was happening to their technician. In his opinion, this video card causes a conflict with my video drivers or IRQ settings.

The technician came up with a solution: instead of an internal wireless adapter like the TL-WN951N why not try the TP-Link TL-WN823N USB Wireless adapter instead, as it resides in a very different area of the PC. Immediately the video problem was solved!
But wait - now a new problem presented itself - the USB adapter caused problems with the input of text. All of a sudden, the cursor for text would disappear and this also caused my connection with my router to be interupted.

Thanks to this forum I found that I was not the only person experiencing this problem. The solution is not to install the configuration software but install the adapter driver only
Using this combination (TP-Link WN823N USB wireless adapter) is now working great and no more problems present themselves!

I hope this helps you with your problem. My computer shop refunded the cost of the TL-WN951N so the change to the USB adapter was not costly.
