In my opinion better solution for TP-link is Gargoyle. I have WDR4300-gargoyle in my home network a I'm very happy. This is link for Gargoyle simulator, you can check this GUI. The latest version is 1.5.9.9.

My Uptime

With new TL-WR1043ND firmware Remote management doesn't work properly, or at all, I should say. Impossible to log in into the router remotely.
I was using dyndns service to access router remotely. Remote Management IP Address set to 255.255.255.255 to allow access to all hosts. After updating to 3.13.13 Build 130428 I can't log in. Only local management works.
Did contact TP-Link "support" over this and they give "advice" along the lines "check user name and password". I of course have told them that am able to log in locally. Completely useless.

I think also that PPPoE doesn't work properly with the latest firmware. For hours, I tried connecting the router to ADSL modem working in bridge mode and I only succeeded in doing this when I flashed the router with latest Gargoyle firmware. Someone here recommended Gargoyle firmware for TL-WR1043ND. Thank you. Stock firmware(s) are a nightmare.
Its fascinating how an open source firmware that people make practically to kill time, is so much better and stable than stock firmware. Maybe TP-Link should put these people on the payroll.

While no attacks on WR1043ND works well.
