VERY Frustrating loss of connection

Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP : Rogers
I get a yellow exclamation point after only about 20 minutes after i connect to the wireless
The router cannot give me enough range to our living room in our basement
so we have this extender
Why does it loose connection to the internet???
Please advise way to fix
