When you connected the laptop to the unit, did you turn off the wifi connection on the laptop?

Yes I have tried it on my laptop and it works fine.

Superduper97 , so when you connect the laptop to the powerline unit, the internet works fine; when you connect the desktop, you can not connect to the internet?
1. When you go to network and sharing center-> change adapter -> right click on Local Area connection -> status -> details. The DHCP Enable is Yes or No?
2. On your internet explorer, click on Tools-> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings.



The proxy server for the LAN is disabled?
3 You can also try network and sharing center-> change adapter -> right click on Local Area connection -> properties. double click on Internet Protocol TCP/IP version 4. choose Obtain IP address automatically and Use the following DNS server. And the first one, put in 8.8.8.8, and the secondary, put in 8.8..4.4 and click on OK and close.
