Model: Archer C60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20201231 rel.39772(5553)
Hello,

I already have spent 1 hour of my time with your support engineer over telephone support but didn't get a resolution. I am willing to setup a VPN server via OpenVPN on my TPLink Router (model details in subject) but even after performing all the steps mentioned in your article: ( https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/faq/1544/) I am unable to connect to my VPN server from outside of my LAN. My aim is to connect to my home network (local LAN) from over the internet. I get a "connection timed out" issue when connecting to the VPN IP.

My observations reveal that its getting timed out because its trying to connect to a private IP (beginning from 10.x.x.x)... whereas I need to connect to it from over the internet. I already have setup the DDNS. Please advise what needs to be done ASAP.

@Raghav1505

If your DDNS updates with IP address like 10.x.x.x, then your public IP address is given to the device before C60.

If your C60 WAN IP address is private one (10.x.x.x), then you can't use OpenVPN from Internet, unless you open the necessary port (1194 UDP) on your ISP modem/router or whatever device you have before the C60 or put it in bridge mode.
