Archer T3U AC1300 slow download speed on Linux Mint
Hi,
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon running Linux Mint. I have been seeing significantly lower download performance so decided to buy the Archer T3U (not sure the hardware or firmware version). It seems it doesn't come with Linux support by default. I have managed to get the device working by installing the realtek driver from https://github.com/cilynx/rtl88x2bu.git version 5.8.7.1_35809.20191129_COEX20191120-7777. Unfortunately I still see half the download speed as I do from my mobile phone (iPhone) running the speedtest app.

Upload: 35.53 Mbit/s
Whereas I see 355Mbps / 35.7Mbps from the speedtest iOS app next to each other, next to my Netgear Nighthawk.
Interestingly the upload speeds are identical. This is the output I see from nmcli d wifi list ifname wlx28ee5210625c

So I would expect to see all of that 405Mbps given your claim of 867 Mbps on 5GHz band
Thanks in advance
