Laptop displays two networks

Hi everybody.
I bought and installed a TP-Link Deco M4 WiFi Mesh, Dual Band AC1200. All devices are working fine except the laptop which incorrectly displays TWO networks. Specifically, my SSID is "Tp-Link Deco", and my laptop in addition to the "Tp-Link Deco" network also displays "Tp-Link Deco 2".
Do you know why?

Hi, please refer to the following suggestions to have a look:
1. please forget or delete both networks on the laptop.
2. turn off/on the Wi-Fi.
3. check again whether it is still here.
--If yes, please send me a screenshot of these two networks.
Or Could you please help me run a simple test:
1. Power off all the Deco unit and would the TP-Link Deco 2 still show up?
2. The PC is the only device with two SSID, right?

This appears to be what I suspected. The AC1200 repeater is not an optimal device for use with Deco and therefore is repeating the same SSID with a 2 at the end.
This should not be an issue for you, however it would be a more elegant solution to replace the extended with another Deco unit (single unit) for coverage in that area. Deco devices are designed to only really work with other Deco devices.

Did you mean PatriziaZ might have a range extender, such as RE330/RE315 apart from the Deco M4 system(AC1200 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System)?

Yes i think that is possible
I have seen it before where a range extender has cloned the SSID and added a 2 at the end to indicate 2ghz.
