Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Nearly every night since the installation of my TP-Link network, my PC loses internet connection and there are no networks available in the drop-down list. Occassionally, my wife's laptop and my Notebook do the same, but never at the same time as each other.
Once I re-start the computers, the local wi-fi networks are available again.
I have one Deco set-up next to the PC and I have a download speed of 53MBPS.

This seems to happen randomly, but did not occur prior to installing the Deco X60.

@AdrianMason

 Hi, when the PC loses internet connection and no network available in the drop-down list, have you checked there was no network available or just no Deco’s Mesh network?

Sometimes, if the computer was in sleep mode before it is fully restarted, It might be not able to detect any network.

@TP-Link

Thank you for your response,

When I lose internet, no networks are available in the drop-down list at all, not mine, not my neighbour's, nothing.

This has only occurred since I have installed the mesh network. Previously, the computer would wake up with full internet connection, and from morning until night when I arrive home from work. Occasionally the network will drop out and I need to re-start the computer, but generally it wakes up fine. Yesterday, it dropped out 3 times and 3 times I needed to re-start the computer to get them back again.

@TP-Link So what is the solution? This is an ongoing problem and I want a solution, or maybe a replacement system or refund.

@AdrianMason

Have you considered powering off Deco units for the night, to prove they cause the issue and it is not just a coincidence?

It is hard to imagine how wifi router could impact mobile client that much.

I agree. It is hard to imagine, but it never happened before I installed the deco units. I will power them off tonight and let you know.

@AdrianMason

I would also recommend you check following things, if your PC runs Windows.

1. In Windows System screen, navigate to Power Options, and set Maximum Performance for WiFi adapter (make sure it is not in power saving mode):

2. In WiFi adapter settings, find "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and toggle it. If it is on- turn it off, if it is off - turn it on. Sometimes when computer goes to sleep or hibernate, depending on network adapter when it wakes up it may have trouble restoring network connections.

3. It goes without saying, but check if there are newer versions of WiFi adapter drivers, in Windows Update under Optinal Updates, or on manufacturer web site.

Also, if you know the brand and model of your WiFi netwok card, you can google for similar issues and may find another troubleshooting recommendations.
