Hi! I bought a router recently, and I want to know what is better? Letting my router working for 24/7 or deactivate it when it's not used, such as when we sleep at night or just wanna deactivate it to prevent strangers used it, or etc..... And how to deactivate it? Just unplug the electricity or how? And if I deactivate it, will it need some time to connect to internet again?

@id_lia You dont really need to turn it off.
If you have it secured (strong password for both administration and WiFi), no one is going to be using it, but you only.

There is going to be a bit of time, like 1 or 2 minutes, till the router boots up if you are unplugging it from the power.

It would also depend on how long it takes for your ISP to give you an address if using DHCP or to allow traffic to pass, but that shouldnt be long as well.
