@CenterInYou my bad, I have been inducted in error by some devices which did not have the same behavior as usual in case of Deco reboot but by looking more it looks my Deco network rebooted, sorry for this mistake.

Hi, Thank you very much for the message.
May I know how long have you had the Deco M5?
I see there are 3*Deco M5s and are they connected by WiFi together? or via Ethernet Cables instead?
Would any Deco M5 turn red during the disconnection?
Can I have the model number of the devices that frequently dropped out?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Has anyone upgraded to 1.7.4 Build 20231222 Rel. 63684 yet? Noticed it isnt available on my m5 yet via the app or web. Yes i know i can manually down it but i prefer to do it via the app once its been published.
1.7.4 only fixes some security vulnerabilities so nothing too exciting either but good to see the m5 is still getting support after all these years

@budgie29 I have, the update was available via the app.
I noticed nothing, maybe a quicker reboot than usual which made me think nothing rebooted. Nno issue since this update.

@TP-Link Signal Source would be fine to work as already is set in App but not working yet, even in 1.7.4.

@CCDan I also confirm that is not working despite that is written in settings that choosing a certain DECO, the device will connect ONLY to that DECO. At 1.7.4 is not working as is stated.

The wording in Deco app is incorrect. I brought that to attention of TP-Link Support.
In reality, with how Deco mesh operates, using Connection Preference you can instruct device connect to specific Deco but you can't force device to do that if it does not want to.
------
To force device connect to specific WiFi node, that node must run its own SSID (in addition to "global" SSID for WiFi mesh). Then, you can configure device connect to SSID of WiFi node.
Deco mesh does not offer that. If you find WiFi mesh from different brand, the one that allows to configure unique SSID per WiFi node, that's the brand you should buy from if you need to glue device to specific WiFi node.
If someone knows such WiFi mesh brand, where it is possible to configure unique SSID for each WiFi mesh node, please share its name.

I can see there is a new firmware out for the M5 I've tried updating via the deco app but unfortunately it isn't picking up the new firmware, I've also tried updating manually though the GUI via phone and still won't update, Any ideas?
