Hi, the firmware 1.7.0 has been removed for optimization last weekend and a new version will be uploaded later.
If you have installed the firmware and experienced any issues with this firmware, please feel free to comment here and leave me a message for notification.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks a lot for your understanding.
Best regards.

@David-TP ballpark of how long we have to wait for it to be rerelease?

I have upgraded to 1.7.0 and have an issue of being unable to connect remotely via the Deco app, and when connected locally an 'unable to check for update' error occurs when looking to see if there is an update to remedy the issue.
I assume this means that when a fix is released I'll need to resort to the manual 'firmware recovery method'?

Hi, Thank you for the feedback.
If there is one Deco M5 that hasn't been updated to 1.7.0, you could switch this one to the main Deco.
How to Set up the Satellite Deco or a new Deco to be the Main Deco
And if you want to downgrade the firmware back to 1.6.0, please leave me a message. I was informed yesterday that the 1.7.0 firmware could not be downgraded via firmware recovery this time.
@CenterInYou Hi, there hasn't been a clear date about it, but since some users have detected and updated to 1.7.0 already, the engineer needs to figure out a backup plan and speed up the new firmware release.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP what issues did they find in 1.7 and what is the process for downgrade to 1.6?

I assume it was pulled due to an L2TP issue / scenarios where it can't connect to the cloud or check for updates as a result.
I'm using access point mode, so was not affected by this issue which is why 1.7.0 is working fine for me (and why I wouldn't mind updating my remaining units to 1.7.0 so they all have matching firmware, but I didn't save the file).
I assume/hope that those with a working connection would be able to update from both 1.6.5 and 1.7.0 to the fixed update which hopefully comes out soon, while others might have to update manually when it comes out.

Have you checked Recycle Bin and Download folder? That firmware file might still be there.

@Alexandre. Oh, I mean I didn't manually save it in the first place (updated through the app with direct download to the units), so I didn't have the chance to download it as a file before it was pulled

@DeckOh This makes sense for me as I'm also only using them in AP mode.
