Silly question... If I want to use a single unified wi network & use the Wi fi cloning function on the extender, do I need to plug in my adapter and link it to my router via ethernet?
The instructions don't mention needing to use the adapter....just the WPS function on the router & a extender.

The main adapter does not have be plugged in you do WiFI clone with WPS button for the wifi powerline unit
You could use WPS button to copy the SSID or change the SSID (WIFI name) for wireless powerline unit via tpPLC Utlity:
