Port Forwarding GPON Fiber Gateway TX-6610 + Router
Hello to all,
first of all, thanks for your help/advice! I am really desperate trying to solve this issue (which should be easy).
My setup is as follows:
The Fiber signal first goes into the TX-6610 GPON Gateway. From there (via Ethernet) it connects to the Router's WAN Port and gets distributed into the local network:
Internet Signal --(Fiber Cable)--> TX-6610 Gateway --(LAN Cable)--> Router's WAN Port --(LAN Cable)--> Backend Server
I am trying to open a few ports for a backend server.
Eventhough I open the ports on the Router, the server can not be reached from outside my local network. Ping Tests fail.
I am wondering:
1. Do I need to change any setting on the TX-6610 Fiber Gateway? Does it have a firewall which blocks any incomming packets? Is that the reason why opening ports on the router doesn't change anyting?
2. The TX-6610 has very few settings. One setting which caught my attention was the "VLAN Mode". Right now it is set to "Control by OLT". Do I need to change it to "Transpareny Mode"? (see screenshot)
I am thankfull for any adivce or explanation.
