Hi,

 

I have some troubles connecting USB3 external HDD and flash drives, some drives appears connected and others not.

 

I suspect heavily about the file system, so I need more specifics and detailed information about the compatible file system (NTFS, extFAT, FAT32) for USB3 devices:

 

  • MBR / GPT
  • drive maximum size
  • support multiple partitions per drive
  • cluster size

 

Any help or comment are most welcome.

Hi.

 

I managed to connect a disk to the router using MBR+NTFS+4K cluster. It seems any other cluster size causes the router to not detect the drive.

 

I can access (read and write) to the remote drive fine, however, all file and folder attributes are lost and cannot be modified (I get a permission error) and Windows (10) Explorer report a S-1-22-1-0 Owner for all files and folders.

 

Originally, this drive have full access to Administrators and System accounts.
