This Article Applies to:
Deco M4 V1/V2, firmware version 1.5.0
Issue Description/Phenomenon:
Some customers may report that when the internet connection type is PPPoE together with an internet VLAN ID, after updating to the latest firmware 1.5.0 on Deco M4, the Wi-Fi speed slows down and the wireless connection becomes unstable.
Solution:
If you experience the same issue, please install the following beta firmware on your Deco M4, then confirm if the speed and connectivity again.
Deco M4 1.5.0 Build 20210804 Rel. 77124
Note: This modification will be included in the next official firmware, which will be coming soon.
For any other issues starting just after the 1.5.0 firmware upgrade, the above firmware is also worth a try. If that issue could be fixed, please comment below so that we could update this post. While if it is not working, please start a new thread with detailed information about your new issue.

Hi, the new firmware has been released already.
During the firmware release process, there might be some delays in some regions.
And here is a new official firmware link if you like:
Modifications and Bug Fixes:
1. Optimized the IPTV/VLAN feature.
2. Added Network Optimization feature.
3. Added the switch of "ignore Ping from WAN".
4. Added the feature of changing the owner account.
5. Add the "Service name" and "Access name" options when the Internet Connection Type is PPPoE.
6. Fixed the issue that Port Forwarding doesn't take effect in some cases.
7. Optimized the problem that Kasa devices can't be added through Deco APP in some cases.
8. Fixed the problem that Zoom applications are banned by the Pay-to-Surf category under Parental Control.
9. Fixed some other bugs and optimized the overall performance.
Notes:
1. This firmware can't be downgraded to the previous 1.4.x version.
2. Please update your Deco APP to the latest version for the new features.
3. If there are other Deco models in your Deco network, you may miss some new features till other models release updates in the near future.
Thank you very much.

@Roman_Goldberg Same issue here since the first 1.5 update, but the same issue remains with this version. The only way I could login into main Deco unit is to unplug the internet cable from it. It seems like when it has active internet connection it is under load and web interface is unresponsive. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/269448?page=1

Dual Deco m4 v2 updated this summer to 1.5.0.
After this update wifi connection issues come up.
Today I've tried your beta 2021/08 firmware and now I have wifi connection issues and wan speed drop ( From 100/10 to 10/10).
Everything was configured as before as router mode with PPPoE ( no VLAN ID CAUSE MAIN MODEM PASSES THROUGH THE PPPoE), WPA2 AES only, no Guest network and simultaneously 2.4GHz and 5GHz ( 2.4 is a must because I have many IOT devices). No downgrade possible and it doesn't seem that a working firmware that solves the problems will come up soon. I am so frustrated. It least give us the option to downgrade ...

Hi,
Could you please help me check the following information;
1. How did you notice that WAN speed drop from 100/10 to 10/10?
2. How much internet bandwidth is provided by the ISP?
As for the wireless instability, will you notice any Deco turn red?
Did all the mobile devices drop the connection?
How often did the connection drop out?
Have you tried to change a new Deco as the main Deco:
