Archer AX50 firmware is dead ? big problems with heat my dear customers
What's the point to own this model or a new customer to buy if this model is dead,last update was on [2020-08-10] about 12 months have passed since this model received an update to [firmware] in my opinion it is a lot,now I will ask those from tp link this model will receive an update or not ? or we customers will have to sell this model because it is a dead project then why is this model still on the market ? I paid a lot of money to buy this router and for what .... to have a router that may never receive an update ?
This model has big problems with heat my dear customers do not rush to buy I've never seen a router burn so bad,just a few days ago I had problems with this model due to heat, I understand that it was almost 39 degrees outside but that's not my problem,I had to reboot the router 2 or 3 times because it didn't work properly and it doesn't show me the internet speed correctly,my mistake was that I didn't get to take the picture when I checked the internet speed because I came tired from work I was pretty angry at the time this happened
This model has been badly made and does not cool properly when it is hot,I might have to sell it and buy another model I don't think I'll buy from tp link anymore
As you can see, it has enough space and is placed on the table but if you put your hand under the router it burns if I pick up the router and put my hand on the table it burns

@LordBeerus I understand.
I sincerely hope that people at TP link are working a new firmware that will help solve problems of quite many people.
as far I am concerned, as soon as I get enough money, I'll switch to another more future proof model with WPA3 and more DHCP options (60 and 61).
In fact, it's my fault, I bought it "too quickly" without taking the time to double check if WPA3 and Mesh were not totally supported by TP Link.
For instance, at the time of buying it, to me, WPA3 as like something "linked' to WIFI 6. This is not the case....

Thank you for the link to the new firmware!
@TP-Link
The firmware download webpage lists only three changes for the lastest firmware release Archer AX50(EU)_V1_210730. They are all fixes for security vulnerabilities.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bug Fixed:
1. Fixed the FragAttacks vulnerabilities;
2. Updated the version of the Dropbear and fixed some Dropbear vulnerabilities;
3. Updated the version of the OpenSSL and fixed some OpenSSL vulnerabilities.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can someone from TP-Link please confirm whether the bug-fixes listed for the lastest firmware release Archer AX50(EU)_V1_210730 are really the only things that were changed between this and the previous firmware Archer AX50(EU)_V1_200708?
Or does this new firmware perhaps include more bug-fixes of some intermediate firmware versions that were never released to the public?

Hmm, wonder if they gonna release US version as well.
I would be happy if TP-Link adds WPA3 support to AX50 as per-advertised before.
Kinda weird and strange for AX series router not to have WPA3.

I also think it was time for those from tp link to release a new update to this model let's hope that they will focus more on this model,let's not forget this model has not received an update in 1 year quite embarrassing from those from tp link My Model is Archer AX50(EU] Ver:1.0 I am from Romania I go to the menu from tp link to check the new update it tells me that I already have the last update I no longer understand anything is bug or error ? when I check on the official page it shows me that it is a valid update https://www.tp-link.com/ro/support/download/archer-ax50/#Firmware
Yes I know you will say to download and install manually but it should tell me that a new firmware version is already valid it's pretty weird here

FYI
i'm from AR. I got the Ax50 v1
This FW update was not listed on the AR support site.
Anyways with the auto update function (from the Tether app in this case), I could detect and download the new version 210730 with no issue.
Maybe you can give it a try.
regards

AR....Argentina? Thanks for the info. Apparently the latest AX50(US)firmware is at AR regional site.
Archer%20AX50(US)_V1_210730.zip
If only the DFS issue is fixed and missing WPA3 is implemented, this AX50 router would be perfect.
Don't get me started on the HomeCare issue....
