Hello,

I have a question about the TP-Link Deco mesh network. I would like to create a local network, with 3 devices, which are each connected with an ethernet cable to a separate node. I want these nodes to be connected to each other, however, there is no internet available at the place, where I am using it. I can use the internet to initially set it up, however, after this it should work in an environment without any internet? Is this also possible with these nodes? I was a bit confused, since I read that the node is deemed offline if there is no internet acces? or I might have misunderstood.

If this is possible, I would have two other questions:

- Is there still without internet acces a main node? If this main node would break down, will another node take over?

- does each node get a separate ip-address on the network?

Thank you in advance!

@COv

Hi, here are some information for your reference:

1.Deco would be offline without internet service.

2. Main Deco would still be the main Deco even with no internet service and when main Deco failed, Re Deco would not take over the DHCP feature;

3.Each Deco unit would have a separate IP address;

Thank you.
