This is a PSA for anyone suffering very slow page load speeds on MacOS, particularly in Safari. I've been suffering this for a few weeks and had been trying all kinds of troubleshooting on the machine. It felt almost like a DNS issue.

Eventually I realised that the problems sort of started around the time I turned on the Intrusion Prevention System.

Toggled it off and ... hello snappy browsing.

If anyone experiences the same slow load issue on your macOS/Safari, try Chris_2021's suggestions to disable the Intrusion Prevention System on the router, users can find it under Basic > HomeCare > Antivirus page. You may find the detailed instructions as follows:
