Model: TL-WN881ND
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have just bought this wifi adapter because my motherboard didn't contain wifi. I plugged the wifi card into the pcie slot under the graphics card (small one) and found out I could not play any games. I tried to play some games and I constantly had ping spikes and lag outs every 2-5 seconds of playing. When it worked (for the few seconds), it ran the game perfectly fine. I have no idea why this is happening, I reinstalled the drivers and changed PCIE lane slots and every attempt has not improved the state of the wifi.

I'm not sure if this card is faulty or if I'm doing something wrong, thanks.

@SirReinz Hello,
Here is a newer chipset driver for TL-WN881ND V2, please give it a try and issue will be gone or not.
https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191129/TL-WN881ND V2 windows 10 RTL driver 2024.0.4.208.zip

Here is an instruction to manually install driver:

Note: (for test purpose) it is recommended to put the computer closer to the router and shut off some programs like gaming or online video applications while perform ping test.

May I know which tp-link official driver you have tried before, If still the issue, please help confirm some details here, thank you:
1.How did you do the ping test and please share photo of the ping:
2.  Does the issue happen when you play certain game or it happens on all games?
3. May I know  the model of the router, does the issue happen particularly on 2.4/ 5Ghz WiFi?
4. How about the other wireless adapters, does other pc or laptop work fine with the same Wi-Fi when play the same games?
5. Please check the motherboard of your computer and share a photo with us: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/
