Troubleshooting LED loop on Deco/ Deco stuck in solid yellow

This Article Applies to:
All Deco models
Typical Problem Description:
1. One of the Deco units was stuck in constant yellow light mode and was not able to enter setup mode (blue blinking light);
2. One of the Deco units goes into this reboot loop of Solid Yellow > Blinking Yellow > Blinking Blue > Off > Solid Yellow, this cycle keeps on repeating.
If Deco had a solid or flashing red, please have a look at this link: Deco turned red
Troubleshooting suggestions:
1. Please hold the reset pinhole at the bottom of the Deco for 1s and check whether the light could be back to yellow---flashing blue.
2. If the factory reset did not make any difference, please refer to this link to do a firmware recovery:

1. The model number as well as the firmware version of the Deco;
2. Which problem description is more like your current issue?
3. Have you tried the hardware reset and firmware recovery suggestions? what are the results?

Hi, welcome to the community.
After going through the troubleshooting guide here, if the Deco still kept solid yellow, I tend to think it is a hardware issue and users could contact the local technical support team for further confirmation and ask for warranty service.
If it is out of warranty, I'm sorry there aren't any other suggestions. Whether purchasing a new Deco or another brand would depend on your personal preferences. While I definitely advocate for our own products, however, I fully support your other decisions.
Thanks a lot for your understanding and support.
Best regards.

@TP-Link one of my deco be65 pro has been stuck in a constant loop after the last firmware update
Firmware that cause this issue was Deco Be65 pro_v1-1.1.0-241110
Even attempt to recover firmware using the uboot web base interface fail to load that firmware.
I was able to boot to the previous firmware Deco Be 65 pro v1.1.0.6_240713 successfully and the screen displays firmware was successfully updated and reboot the deco manually.
But it is still in constant solid yellow loop. Would not allow me to get pass that to be able to add it back into my network

In regards to the device being stuck on solid yellow, and can't get it to go into recovery mode (solid green), then give this a go. The way I was able to force the device from yellow to green is to...
1.Pull Power Plug Out
2.Press AND Hold Reset Button (DONT.LET GO)
3. While still holding reset, plug power back in.
NOTE: Device should now start rotating from solid yellow to solid green, and if you continue holding, from solid green to blinky green, and then blinky green to blinky red.
If you try hitting the reset button with power already on, sadly it won't do anything which is why we are all here. I'm honestly baffled as to why this has hasnt been fixed yet with a firmware update . What a massive headache!!
Hope this helps someone. Wish me luck trying to flash firmware. My hopes are pretty low though.

@Broken_Deco73 The solution for those who no longer have a warranty is to start a class action lawsuit against TP-Link for not offering some sort of valid solution for a faulty product. Clearly this is 100% bad firmware. I simply changed the setting to go from router mode to AP mode and after the reboot, only 2 came back to life and the 3rd decided it was done playing nice with the rest of system. It's stuck solid yellow and I've yet to try the firmware flash because most people have said it doesn't fix the problem, but at this point I have no choice as I've been trying to get this stupid satellite to work again for the past month now. Absolutely nothing has worked.

@TinnyTimmay yes it doesnt make any logical sense... mine is still down and not working.... I started a warranty return because I can't waste any more time trying to troubleshoot and there's no firmware to fix apparently.

Hi, can I have the model number and the current firmware version for Deco?
"And this morning I woke to find all 4 solid red lights - 3 reboots and 2 hours later."
Since you commented here, Did the Deco auto restart and get into a red-yellow-green loop for 2 hours?
Wait for your reply and best regards.
