@ExcellGroup

Hey

I don't think the VR400 supports GFast

As far as I can tell TP Link have no routers that support GFast, at least here in Ireland

@Philbert That's what I suspect.

Have a BT modem in Sync but no connection to the TP Link WAN port.

thanks

@ExcellGroup

If you are using a modem it would likely work on the WAN port

What modem you have and are you getting an address on the WAN port?

It’s the standard BT modem which is in sync but no authentication attempts on my server from the router, which has been configured just as you would an FTTC. No vlan, just username and password. Very odd.

What settings are you using, namely do you have the connection type as PPPoE?

Post a screenshot if you can

Yep, It's PPOE @Philbert just as we have done a thousand times with FFTP.

this time however, nothing doing and to compound matters, the device is 250 miles away and I have no remote access and end users who cannot fathom how to get a local connection and a hotspot so I can investigate!

Oh god, been there and dealt with that!   Good luck mate!

As you say if you could get onto it remotely you could play around with settings.  Personally never used GFast but cant see it being any different from standard MODEM as you say
