Model: Archer A2
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: xyz

What is the recommended way of applying an upgrade? That is, to download it onto a PC and upload it from there, or can I download straight onto the router and install it from there?

@balangaman

Is the model number Archer A2? You may check if you can detect the new firmware on the Tether app or the web GUI of the router.

The firmware will be also published on the official website, you can check it later.

I'm using an Archer MR200, but I asked about the recommended way to upgrade, ie via the web interface or to download the upgrade to PC and upgrade from there. The current Firmware Version is: 1.9.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190307 Rel.54196n

Well, I've upgraded via the app and am now at Firmware Version: 1.19.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210201 Rel.65731n After a long connection last week, I've three or four disconnections today, but following a reboot I was able to resume each time. Let's see if it stops disconnecting after the upgrade...
