I purchased an Archer Ax6000 router and I am looking to extend the network to my home office on the second floor.  The house is a 2600 2 storey house with a full basement.  My home office needs a minimum of 3 Ethernet ports for my desktop computers and printer.

My Ax6000 is setup on my main floor but it is very difficult to get a Ethernet wire to my office as it is over the garage.  My initial plan was to get an Re605x with a gigabit switch in my office and a second Re605x in my basement and have it setup as a onemesh network.

I was also thinking it may work to setup my Ax6000 router in the basement and add a second Ax6000 router as my extender in my office on the second floor and have the 2 Ax6000's work as a onemesh network

The benefit would be to hav a potentially faster setup in my office and no need for a gigabit switch but I would not have a router/extender on the main floor. Does this make sense?  Would anyone have a better suggestion?
