DNS Rebinding Restriction for Video Door Bell integration with Echo Show 5
Hi All,
I am trying to integrate my Hikvision Video Door bell with Amazon Echo Show 5 and for that I am using Monocle Gateway service running on my own machine which acts as gateway for the connection between Monocle server and Amazon Echo show. After spending a day I have managed to get most of things setup but I get an error when Amazon echo requests the video stream from my door bell, I can see in the logs on my computer that Amazon has requested for the stream but I get error which looks like below and some times I don't get this error but the Echo show fails to show the video.
2021-05-25T16:51:55.595Z [DEBUG] <RTSP-PROXY> [RESPONSE] <-- [451 (Invalid parameter)] <cseq=1> (session=undefined)
2021-05-25T16:51:55.595Z [TRACE] <RTSP-PROXY> [RESPONSE] <-- [HEADERS] {
"cseq": "1",
Searching for this error on the Monocle Gateway troubleshooting guide and forums, the Monocle support suggested that this happens when the router is mostly blocking the DNS resolution as it points to the local IP address as a security feature. I ave confirmed that the issue I have is becuase of the DNS rebinding.
To get around this,I need to add an exception into DNS Forwarder on my Archer C9 but I am not able to find where exactly I can do that.
Any help is much appreciated.
