Model: Range Extender
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I recently purchased a tp-link range extender AC750 and configured into my network. I have a 200MBPS speed internet line. My router shows a speed of +200MBPS, however when I select the rage extender the speed drops to 120-140MBPs even though I plugged the extender just adjacent to the router. I am not sure this is how the extender is suppose to behave. In fact I am not getting any benefit with the extender compared to stand alone router

@Indras Good day,

As range extender needs to receive data from the router and then forward it to the connected clients and speed will decrease during the transmission, we use it more to increase the stability in Wi-Fi dead spots rather than boost Wi-Fi Speed. (That means Range extender speed is slower than the speed it received from router)

From your description,  speed of range extender is pretty reasonable.

Hope this could help.
