Similar question. I have & like my TL-PA210KIT, but am interested in adding the 500Mbps to my network. I assume a 500Mbps node would be the base (connected to my router), but that base unit can connect to which other 200Mbps units around my house?

What I am looking for is a comparability (mix-and-match) matrix for my TL-PA210 (AV200) units.

If the models belong to the same Homeplug Standard, they are compatible. For example, TL-PA210, TL-PA211, TL-PA411，TL-PA511, they are compatible with each other.

They all belong to Homeplug AV

I have the 211(200mbps) which all work well together but have just added the gigabit adapter which works with another gigabit adapter but it cannot see you the 200mbps. I haven't found a solution yet but will post my problem on a fresh thread. I thought you might like to know!

1. press the pair button of the AV200 and hold for 3-8 seconds. then press the pair button of the AV500 and hold for 1 second.
2. You can also use the utility to join these adapters. Set the same network name like Method 2 in this link http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=258

I had to use the utility to join them and setting the network name as the default, this finally worked. I would have thought that this should be a bit easier to do.
