Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591

why is my  router calling tp-link.com every few seconds. More to the point how do i stop it?

is there a way to prevent this router doing this kind of unrequested behavior?

is the firmware available for inspection?

can this router be flashed with open source software instead?

the time is set to manual so this cannot be the reason, can it?

its set up as an access point.

@pingpingping

The reaon for that is most probably - router is probing to see if it has an internet access to visualize it on its status page.

You can't change that cause it's embedded in the FW.

You probably could flash an open source software (3-rd party FW) but this way you'll void its warranty.
