I am trying to combine a AX73 with a RE605X using One Mesh.

To my frustration I found that the AX73 does not support One Mesh when in AP mode.

I don't understand why it shouldn't work! This is absolutely an missed opportunity!

The provider's cable modem is located in the garage. Not the best place to have your WiFi AP, so I disabled WiFi there and located the AX73 at a far better place. It was working in AP mode so far, so it becomes one network with the equipment wired to the cable modem. Meaning my smartphone apps can detect the Chromecast wired to the cable modem.

Now with the AX73 in route mode it becomes a separate network segment. 

Can anyone tell me if One Mesh will ever become available with AP mode?
