Archer C6 has no Upload in Acces Point mode
Archer C6 has no Upload in Acces Point mode
Hi,
My Archer C6 is set up as an Access Point (my router/modem is an "Experiabox V10"). I have two questions:
1 My upload speed is 0 when I do a speedtest (I have this problem on multiple private and work devices). How can I solve this, I can't use my WIFI network this way. I have the same problem on 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. I've tried an older tp-link repeater set up as an access point and on that device the upload speed worked correctly.
2 I changed back to router mode and changed the Duplex speed to 1000Mbps full duplex. When I changed the operation mode back to Acess Point mode it still kept saying 100Mbps full duplex.
Kind regards!

Hi @terziyski
Did a full factory reset yesterday, after the access point just shutted down this week after pushing the on/off button on the Archer C6 (the on/off button flashes for about 2 minutes and after that the light goes off). I've had one day where everything worked ok, but when I rebooted the AP and main router everything stopped working. After that I did countless reboots in different sequences. My whole WIFI setup is very unstable.
The system log still doesn't work after the full factory reset, it shows the same log items with the same date and time as posted earlier. Very strange?
Do you have a suggestion on how to fix this?

What you can do is to check again ping results when connected by cable to C6 - ping your main router 192.168.2.254 and see if any packet loss (that's the last ping test you did).
If there is packet loss then you have a connectivity issue again - that reason for that could be the ethernet cable, the main router LAN port or the C6 WAN port.
Try experimenting with different ethernet cables (CAT 5e/6) and different LAN port on your main router.
If nothing helps - there's a beta FW that you could try:
For Archer C6EU V2: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202010/20201030/ArcherC6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-6-P1[20201030-rel60104].zip
Upgrade the FW to this beta and test again - you can always revert back to the original FW by the standard upgrading procedure.

Thanks, do you have the releasenotes for this firmware version? I looked around but couldn't find any.

About the beta FW - that's a final resort if nothing other helps.
C6 in AP mode with 1.3.6 official FW works fine when configured with Static IP and DHCP OFF.
If you have network infrastructure problems like packet loss (connectivity issues) this beta FW won't help to resolve them.
