Very Slow Wifi Speed in Windows 8

So, I bought this wifi 2 months ago and seems to be working fine with Windows XP and i generally speed around 60-100 KBPS. But since i installed Windows 8 to another hard drive to my system, there is barely any connectivity.. most of the time it display yellow exclaimation mark in the wifi icon and even when it connect,i get very low download speed of around 2-5KBPS, i have checked in task manager that nothing is taking up network bandwidth and i have also disabled many services that i found to be the cause but no help.
