Hi,

 

I've installed my new mesh network and have just noticed an unsecured network titled Tp-Link_Extender has appeared. 
 

I'm worried this is an open connection on to my network and I do not have an extender, just the three pack of deco M4 units.

 

I couldn't find anything obvious in the app to locate this and either secure it or switch it off.

Hi, I think it does not belong to Deco M4,

Normally only the range extender would use this default name, and for Deco, it would be like Deco_xxxx;               

Have you checked the MAC address of the unsecured Wi-Fi and would there be any similarities with the MAC of Deco?

And if you turn all the whole Deco system, would it disappear as well?
