Hi,
The wireless drops out on my router every 1 or 2 days. I checked the LED on the router and it goes off when this occurs.
I have attempted to turn WiFi back on using the 'on/off' button on the rear but it still won't work. The only remedy is to pull the
power plug for a few moments and plug it back in.
How can I fix this issue?

Yep, I can confirm that, 120424 is last stable build, new ones have 1-2 days drop outs.
Sad, there is no response from tech support guys.
Me too. Tired of freezes, went back to older firmware and had never problems again in almost two months. I´m sure that it will never be released a new firmware. Shame on you TP-LINK.

The old firmware 120424 is the stable one.I think the new firmware will drop out because of the busy traffic.

Please help me downgrade my router to this stable version, because I have the some problem.
I'm using Windows 7 and currently mu router is running
Firmware Version: 3.12.25 Build 130322 Rel.33803n
Hardware Version: WR842ND v1 00000000
Thank you very much,
Victor
EDIT: I downgraded my firmware to V1_120424 as I'm upgrading it. I will leave my PC on during the day and when I back to work I will type what are the results.

Hi, i write this a lot of time after i got this problem, well I dint found dd-wrt for 842 v2, just for v1, but the solution for this problem (it works for me) is change the channel width from auto to only 20MHz or even i you still with the problem disable wireless mode N (choose BG mixed), i know this limit the speed to 54Mbps but is better than dont have conecction.

Useless as a router.

Plain talking, this is an affordable access-point and printer server. But the router function, just don´t work. Changing firmware can improve from "horrible" to "very bad". But nothing better than this.
